Unleash your creative potential by visiting the Sundance Art Studio. Visit the gallery to view a rotation of pieces from local artists. Spend two hours in an Art Studio class and take away a lasting memory of the Utah wilderness. Choose from single-session workshops in jewelry making, wheel-thrown pottery, leather journal making, painting, drawing, printmaking, and soap making. All classes are tailored to each individual’s ability level, from beginner to experienced artists. Price includes expert instruction and materials. All our workshops and classes are open to both resort and day guests.

Classes

POTTERY (WHEEL) | 2 hour class | up to 7 guests | $95
Feel clay take shape beneath your fingers in an Art Studio Pottery class. Make and glaze your own wheel-thrown or hand-built pieces. Sundance master potters will fire your creation and send it along to you in a few weeks. Instruction is geared toward all levels.

JEWELRY MAKING - SILVERSMITHING | 2 hour class | up to 7 guests | $95
Learn about silversmithing and stone setting and complete your own one-of-a-kind piece to wear home. Choose from a wide variety of stones, many native to Utah. (There will be an upgrade charge for larger stones and bracelets). Or choose beading and design and create a unique beaded piece from a selection of beads from all over the world.

PAINTING | 2 hour class | up to 7 guests | $95
Discover your spark of creativity while standing at an easel before towering Mount Timpanogos. Sundance art instructors will help you define your impression of the Sundance environment in watercolor, acrylics, or encaustic. Instruction is geared for all levels. Great for larger groups.

PRINTMAKING | 2 hour class | up to 7 guests | $95
We supply the inks, plates and tools; you supply the imagination. A variety of techniques and methods are explored. Create your own prints ready to take home and frame. Instruction is geared for all levels.

LEATHER JOURNAL MAKING | 2 hour class | up to 7 guests | $95
In our Journal Making class, guests design and imprint their leather journal cover using leather stamps and burning tools. Guests will also learn how to create paper signatures to stitch on the cover of their one of a kind journals. *Guests must be 7+ years or older to take this class.

SOAP MAKING | 2 hour class | up to 4 guests | $95
See and smell the unique Sundance soaps take form. Learn about the ingredients used and choose different essential oils and plant materials to create and take home your own Sundance creation. *Guests must be 12+ years or older to take this class.

CANDLE MAKING
Choose a piece of hand-blown recycled glass, essential oils, and a wick to create your own candle. No appointment necessary.
